Lucy Hockett is an emerging artist from Northern Virginia, now living in Oakwood, Ohio, who specializes in experimental design of mixed media including acrylic paint, watercolor, pen, pencil, artist stamp, and paper.
Her specialties include painting and collage of impressionist and abstract waterscapes, landscapes, and portraiture. She is currently honing techniques for structure and definition while developing her knowledge of color theory. Additionally, her photography helps to develop a strong sense of creative possibility.
Lucy’s signature style includes strong primary colors that are complimented with colorful blending. Favored hues include blue, red, and yellow, but the full palette is typically explored.
She is inspired by modern expressionist Master Modigliani, Genshin Impact, gourmet slime, and Belgian chocolate.
She has studied with Cynthia Cutting at The Art Studio NY, Elizabeth Leach at Starting Artists, Whitney Rivard of Harman School, Laurie Glover, and Elle Halliday.
